If Your Kitchen Floors Could Talk, They Would BEG You to Follow This Cleaning Routine
How to Clean Your Kitchen Floors: Hardwood, Vinyl or Tile & Grout
Your kitchen floor has seen things.
Spills. Crumbs. Sticky footprints. That one drop of something you wiped up… mostly.
You’re already doing a lot, and we truly don’t want to add anything else to your plate.
So, here’s our efficient, not-doing-more-than-necessary clean routine for your kitchen.
The Daily Reset (Two Minutes. Max.)
A little daily maintenance goes a long way.
- Quick sweep or vacuum
- Spot clean spills quickly to avoid it sinking in
The Weekly Clean
There’s three main surface types you’re likely working with: hardwood, tile & grout or vinyl floor. But really, you just want to maintain and clean the floor. We’ve got you.
What to do:
• Sweep or vacuum first (always—grit is the enemy)
• Mop with a pH-neutral cleaner
• Use a damp mop, don’t make it too wet
• Lightly scrub where needed (especially grout lines)
• Dry the floor after (no lingering moisture)
Keep it in check:
• Skip harsh chemicals like bleach. They do more harm than good
• No excess water (looking at you, hardwood)
• Avoid high heat (steam isn’t for every floor)
• Add felt pads to furniture to prevent scratches
• Wipe up spills fast
And that’s it. No cleaners you have to make or special mops to buy. Just a simple, repeatable routine you can execute while you listen to your favorite podcast.
When It’s Time for the Real Reset
We love a good clean routine, but the DIY portion of this list doesn’t reach the deep-down stuff. A deep clean flushes out embedded dirt, removes buildup completely and restores how your floors actually feel.
That’s where we come in.
Our pro cleaning goes deep into the pores, removing up to 96% of allergens and buildup your regular routine leaves behind.
No residue. No guesswork. No “why does it still look dull?”
Let's get you back to clean.
You keep up with the routine. We’ll handle the rest.
